MHP preference is always for an underbelt scraper where possible, as, by definition, this is fail safe in the event of unforeseen impact. The disposal of tailings is also important and provision must be made for their collection or, ideally, return to the material stream.
Reduced maintenance with “S” type blade
The unique flexible S blade maintains pressure in the vital central area by allowing the sides to spring down as the centre wears. The oversize 20mm tungsten tips allow greater wear life before replacement. MHP has examples running on the original blade for eight years and more even in granite quarries.
Curved S type blade
Additional improvements in cleaning efficiency are achieved by curving the flexible S blade to further concentrate cleaning pressure in the centre.
